1 Children’s Parties:
Q: What age group is Professor Palmermoff’s Magic Show suitable for?
A: I normally say any age 5 and up is good for my magic show and that is any age after that up to the oldest adult. The Professor Palmermoff magic show is also good for a mixture of ages and a mixture of children and adults.
Q: How long is the Children’s Magic Show?

A: Most parties are built around a 50-minute magic show leaving time for the children to acclimatise before the show and then have food, cake and games afterwards.
The show is around 50 minutes and designed to be the main entertainment during the party.
Q: Does Professor Palmermoff offer a 2 hour option at parties?
A: When a party is in a home I tend to just perform my magic show and leave everything else to the host.
If the party is in a hall then I do offer a 2 hour option where I provide a music system and play groovy tunes from beginning to end, help with any games, MC the event, do some balloon modelling for all if desired and generally perform some close up magic tricks around the place keeping both children and adults entertained.
The cheaper option is to have the magician just perform his show so in houses that’s what I recommend as you don’t need music provided and there are generally more manageable numbers of children. In halls a good music system is definitely a good idea and having someone on hand to control large groups of children effortlessly is obviously a great asset. It doesn’t cost double for the 2 hour option but it does cost a bit more.

Q: Do you include balloon modelling children’s magic show?
A: Balloon modelling is great, I am an expert balloon modeller and love doing it but there’s a time and a place for it and an amount too. I make several balloon models during the show for the birthday child, and to reward my assistants and there are comic routines attached to each one, Children love watching the art of balloon modelling, it is an incredible skill. It’s great doing that and even after the show balloon model’s are great as prizes. Also with small numbers of children there is no harm in making balloons for everyone especially the little ones.
However it’s not always advisable to think that a class of 30 should all have balloons after the show, as that takes a long time to do, they’ll be a queue of kids all staying me me me and then they’ll be balloon breakages that need repairing and of course mummy or daddy will charged with looking after the balloon for the rest of the party. If you make a sword, they’ll all want swords and party turns into Agincourt with plenty of repairs required. From experience I know that balloon modelling is great in sensible proportions and generally I say I’m a magician of peace and don’t make swords unless Agincourt is specifically desired 🙂 The amount of it I do is very much down to you too!

Q: Is audience participation encouraged during the children’s magic show?
A: I love involving audience members in my show especially the birthday child but actually many of my audience will be involved in some way. I also involve adult assistants in my show especially for borrowing rings and mind reading and I need lot’s of verbal interactions with different children and adults. To get an audience fully engaged it really helps and is also a lot of fun to involve lot’s of different people in the show in one way or another.

Q: What is the booking process for a children’s party?
A: Ring the Professor on 07939047780 or email me to palmermoff@gmail.com to check my availability and to confirm just send me a confirmation email with all the details so the date/time, the address, the fee and a phone number, I reply to that and after that you can consider it booked.

Q: How much does a children’s magic show cost?
A: The cost of the Professor Palmermoff Magic show does depend on where and when so it’s best to ring 07939047780 or email palmermoff@gmail.com for an accurate quote.
As of 2026 prices generally start at £200 for a children’s party locally but their are several factors that can affect the price, the travel distance/time, the nature of the event, the equipment required and peak times/seasons exist as well so if you want the very best price 9am on a Monday morning in winter is the time to do it 🙂

2 Private Parties

Q: Does Professor Palmermoff perform at private parties for adults?
A: The Professor performs at lot’s of parties for adults either with a show to everyone or with roaming close up magic or even with a bit of both. The show is great for anyone really, it’s comic fun and has dazzling tricks so is highly entertaining for anyone of any age.
Close up magic roaming from group is often the best way to use a magician at an adult event or party where you don’t necessarily want everyone to focus on a long show and the magician can slowly entertain everyone there with some stunning tricks in front of there eyes and in small groups so they all feel personally entertained. The Professor is equally comfortable performing a show to all or with roaming close up magic.

Q: What types of events does The Professor perform at besides children’s parties?
A: The Professor has performed at almost every type of event you could imagine almost too many to mention. Weddings, parties, festivals, fetes, awards, corporate events, schools, summer camps, clubs, religious events and festivals of every type you could imagine, street parties, kids to the office, pub openings, on boats, on top of the tallest buildings and in the smallest bars, at dinner parties, hen parties, the list could go on and on.

Q: How far in advance should I book for a private party event?
A: If you have any flexibility with dates and times it always easier to find a slot so you can book much later. If you want a specific date and time especially at a busy time of year then book months in advance if possible. It’s always worth ringing though as sometimes whenever you want a show it might just slot in perfectly to an existing schedule even if you ring the day before for a last minute booking. Children’s parties often happen on a Saturday or Sunday mid afternoon so avoiding these times and having it on Sunday morning or Saturday late afternoon can mean availability a lot more likely so book early for peak times or have flexibility and then you can always find a slot that suits.

Q: Are there any specific requirements for the performance space at private parties?
A: The Professor Palmermoff magic show magic show packs pretty small so I just need a table or surface to put my props on. It doesn’t need to be one table can be 2 small tables or even a table and stool, I always arrive 30 mins before a performance to set up and find something appropriate for the job. The show can be performed indoors or out, I try and make the audience as comfortable as possible with whatever chairs are available or cushions and generally try to make what ever space I have into the best arena it can be for the audience there. Lighting is not normally and issue but it’s always good if the Magician can be seen 🙂

Q: What sets Professor Palmermoff apart from other magicians for private events?

A: You can tell when watching Professor Palmermoff that he has a wealth of experience that comes from performing 1000’s and 1000’s of shows both as a Magician, a street performer, a Musician and a general showman. His communication with an audience whether it be children or adults is one where he is just completely in control and the audience can just relax, have loads of laughs and be completely entertained.
