Is it a good idea to have a magician for a children’s party at home?
Is having a children’s party at home a good idea?
Professor Palmermoff suggests it’s a very good idea and that you should have the party at home if you can.
A home is a unique venue for a party where the children feel comfortable and adults too and where you have everything you need in the cupboard instead of having to take it to a venue or having all your guests having to pay for tea’s/ coffee’s/soft drinks etc It’s a lot easier to be the perfect host with everything you need at hand.
Living rooms and gardens make a great place for a party and certainly as a Magician they make great spaces to perform a Magic show and the advantage of having a magician perform a show is at least the children sit and watch for a chunk of the party rather than roaming through your home for the duration of there party.
The thing you don’t have to do at home is make the venue you’ve hired/hall spotless at the end with an eye on the clock, this can actually be quite a large operational times and quite an effort.
A home is a unique venue for the party making it much more special, the chances are if you use a local venue the children have been there before and perhaps several times for other peoples parties.
I know that around the age of 5/6 it is often customary to invite the whole class round and with other friends/neighbours/relatives the numbers are just too large to have it at home. If that is the case you have no option but to use a venue and i would recommend to really think about the venue options and choose a nice one, some are certainly better than others. What makes a good party venue is a science in itself but as the children get older and only have their besties at their party it really becomes a no brainer and a small party at home with a manageable amount of children is really the best party any child could ever want.
Add a Magician into the mix and it then becomes a special event they will all remember for ever.
